If you’re struggling to get more views, a lot of the time, it’s because you’re not adapting or really diving deep into your content to see whats working or whats not working.

Here are a few things to look into and at the end, I’ll give you my two cents on what I think the MOST important things are:

• quality of the video

• Lighting

• Do you have a readable font?

• Was there a consistent pattern interrupt?

• Specific Words used

• Hook

• What’s the topic of the video?

• What tone of voice are you using?

• Are you speaking fast or slow paced?

• Is there pauses in the videos? (Um, like, etc)

• Are you staying still or doing any gestures?

• Do you have a background or set?

• Was your content scripted or did you wing it?

Get your top 5 MOST viewed videos and your 5 LEAST viewed videos.

Dissect the bullet points from above and notice if there are any substantial differences.

For me, my videos performed better when the video itself was brighter, had a strong colored background and something I noticed is that when I use a negative in the beginning, my video would perform better. That’s a pattern I plan to use more often, but will also always test new things.

Do not be afraid to remake the same video that you believe could have gotten more views, but try different variables.

The 4 most important things I like to pay attention to are:

• topic of the video

If the topic isnt good enough, the video wont perform. Sometimes TOO niched down isnt good.

• Does the information allow the viewer to take some kind of action, OR controversy.

In the information space, if you provide real legit value that can help someone do XYZ, it has a much higher chance of performing. My most viewed videos have actionable advice.

• Tonality

This one can take some time to learn but if you are boring or monotone, no one will want to listen. You need to deliver your message with ENERGY.

• Quality of Audio

Think about videos you’ve seen where the audio was trash…you probably cant think of too many because you scrolled past them when you realized you couldnt understand or hear the person speaking.
